Hello Fellow Art Lovers!!

I've been a part of the blog well on and off for years and to be honest I was always afraid to put myself out there especially since I live in a small town. But after going through hell with people trying to control my life because they think they have the right to dictate someone's life. Well shit, I get judged already I most well do whatever I like, am I right?? So here I am starting a blog dedicated to my art and tattoo journey.

Yes, you read that correctly, me doing a tattoo course not your typical apprenticeship. Because let's be real not everyone has access to an apprenticeship especially if you live in a small town like me. Don't worry you learn everything you need from wait for it an actual tattoo artist. I don't think apprenticeships make you a good tattooist because there is a lot of dodgy tattoo artists out there that do gross tattoos and shouldn't be tattooing to begin with.  So, I feel like this option can't be too bad plus if I don't achieve my goal of creating good tattoos at the end, I'll look for an apprenticeship. Now for art I have been drawing cartoon characters since I was roughly 9 yr. old or maybe younger, I was inspired by my brother who was also very artistic and could draw cartoons too. But his method was very traditional Disney drawing technique where I don't work that way. ha-ha!

I hope to document my journey in art and also get my artwork out there to hopefully gain an audience that will appreciate my art as much as me. I remember back in the day when artist would make it big by blogging on here and Tumblr, but I don't know if you get that much traffic. Is blogging popular today? Or am I beating a dead horse?? ha-ha!

As you may have or haven't realized by some of the lingo, I use on here that I am from Australia and I live in a rural town in NSW, about 4 hours away from Sydney. I tried applying to do a fine art degree, but I got knocked back because I withdraw from a course too many times *insert crying emoticon* ha-ha!! I did try to do a diploma level in fine art but got kicked out because the head teacher thought I wasn't attending classes when I actually was attending classes. That was a waste of $10,000 of hecs money that I could've used on something else. Devastated to be honest I wanted to finish that course but wasn't in the right frame of mind unfortunately. I've actually thought about doing a cartoon course but not too sure hmm... do you think it's worth it?? Has anyone done a cartoon course??
